To request final amateurism, your student-athletes should log in to their Certification account at eligibilitycenter.org and:
-
Review any open tasks and complete requests for additional information.
-
Check their graduation and enrollment dates and update if necessary.
-
Verify their graduation date and enrollment date are accurate.
-
-
Reminder: The enrollment date in a student's account should reflect the date they first plan to enroll in an NCAA Division I or II school.
NCAA Eligibility
-
The NCAA Eligibility Center certifies whether prospective college athletes are eligible to play sport at NCAA Division I or II institutions. It does this by reviewing the student-athlete's academic record, SAT or ACT scores, and amateur status to ensure conformity with NCAA rules.
-
To be eligible to compete in NCAA sports in college, you must maintain minimum standards for your SAT/ACT and high school GPA along with meeting the requirements for courses completed in high school.
-
Student athletes must register with the NCAA Eligibility Center to be eligible to play NCAA Division I or II sports in college. Visit www.eligibilitycenter.org for registration and information. There is a fee involved.
-
Athletes playing Division III do not have to register.
-
Upon completion of your registration, please notify the guidance office to submit a preliminary transcript and a final transcript. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO SEND SAT/ACT TEST SCORES DIRECTLY FROM THE TESTING SERVICE. The NCAA code for the Collegeboard/ACT is 9999
-
*The NCAA recommends that student-athletes register at the beginning of their junior year in high school. There is no registration deadline, but students must be cleared by the Eligibility Center before they receive athletic scholarships or compete at a Division I or II institution
